I was eagerly awaiting a parcel to arrive
from Spain. I have been asking every day to the doorman: Did the
postman come today?
Well, finally a green envelope from Correos
arrived from Valencia!!
I had the opportunity to buy to Mateo, two
Fanzines published by Paiorfa Editorial. One called "Mi Pelo" (My hair) by Joanna
Rosa Bragança and the second one "Yo, el artista" (Me, the Artist) by María
Herreros and I’m happy to read it to my son as I’m in love with María’s
illustrations.
We will move soon to Saudi Arabia and Mateo
will start classes in a British school, he will learn to read and write in
English, because of that, I preferred to buy it in Spanish so in the future he
will also read something in his mother tongue, but you can buy it in English
or Portuguese too.

Tuve hace un tiempo la
oportunidad de comprarle a Mateo dos Fanzines editados por Paiorfa. Uno se
llama "Mi Pelo" de Joanna Rosa Bragança y el otro es "Yo, el Artista" de María
Herreros, y estoy feliz de leérselo a mi hijo porque hace tiempo que estoy
enamorada de las ilustraciones de María.
Pronto nos mudaremos a
Arabia Saudita y Mateo empezará las clases en un colegio británico donde va a
aprender a leer y escribir en inglés, por eso preferí comprárselo en español
para que en el futuro tenga también la oportunidad de leer en su lengua materna,
pero también están disponibles en Inglés y en Portugués.

This coming week my son Mateo (3 years old) will be starting a project at school called “Rolling Library”. It works like this: all children bring a book to share with their classmates; they are then entitled to take home one of the books brought by someone else to read/watch for a week. In this way they will "roll" the books between them all year round! Mateo will share a book he really likes a lot!!! It is called “Los Opuestoros” (opuesto = opposite + bull in Spanish = toro) a book written/drawn by Sebastián García Schnetzer, an Argentinean graphic designer who lives in Barcelona and is the Art Director of the editorial Zorro Rojo. Mateo asked us “please, please” to see the book one more time before bringing it to school!! Have a look!
En el colegio de mi hijo Mateo (3 años) esta semana ponen en marcha un proyecto llamado la “Biblioteca Rodante”.Cada niño compartirá un libro con todos sus compañeros de clase. Cada uno se llevará el libro de un compañero a su casa para leer/ver durante una semana. Así rotarán los libros entre toda la clase durante todo el año. Mateo va a compartir un libro que le encanta!!! Se llama “Los Opuestoros” un libro escrito/dibujado por Sebastián García Schnetzer, un diseñador gráfico argentino que vive en Barcelona y es el director de arte de la editorial Zorro Rojo. Mateo pidió “por favor, por favor” volver a verlo una vez más antes de llevarlo al cole!! Denle un vistazo!!
