ABIGAIL BROWN's WORKSHOP IN LONDON

DesignPosted by ale 17 Mar, 2013 11:57

Last Tuesday I took part in an Abigail Brown’s workshop in Anthropology Gallery in London, organised by Selvedge. She showed us how to make her fantastic Match Box Tweeters! I was excited to meet her and could see her terrific work first hand. Ladies of all ages, including a little girl and myself, were thrilled with the opportunity of sharing this “textile” moment. The table was wonderfully full of little fabric swatches, needles, pins, threads, scissors, little boxes and of course, the filling. Then the magic began. I have never made anything so little! It was fun and Abigail taught us some of her techniques to make the tiny bird. She was so kind and graceful that it was an absolute pleasure spending this moment with her. I’m grateful to her for sharing her terrific gift with us. Thank you, Abigail!!

Gracias Abigail!!

MONOAMBIENTE

DesignPosted by ale 20 Sep, 2012 10:03

What a nice surprise I had yesterday! When I was back home from the serigraphy studio where are producing my new tote bags, I discovered a small new place called MONOAMBIENTE. I couldn’t resist to enter. There I met her kind owner and designer Constanza who explained me a little the concept of the objects and showed me what a great work did the carpenter to build the lovely changing room. You may take a coffee and eat a cake while you have a look to their collection: "Kídult" unisex clothes brand, funny pillows like the “Bi-Polar” and the “Acarus” and also see a beautiful collection of handmade ceramic plates. The web is very funny and a little odd but in the good way. Have a look and Enjoy! Matienzo 2498 Buenos Aires

No pude resistirme a entrar. Matienzo 2498 Buenos Aires
