Ready to celebrate!

I made this Christmas tree for our home in Riyadh using laundry hangers, little branches from our garden and the Severina Kids handmade ornaments. In love!

After one month and a half of non-stop working in Buenos Aires, we have had the opportunity to share a couple of days with our friends in London. Now, back in our home in the desert, everything is ready to start the school tomorrow. Next Wednesday I will fly to Paris. Maison&Object is waiting for me! ‪

Today I will honor my roots.
I will knit new stuff remembering my mother and grandmother.

I’m back in Riyadh after we've spent one month and a half in Buenos Aires. I was working and enjoying our family and friends during Mateo’s school summer holidays.

I brought these lovely things from home, some of them with priceless value for me, like a box of threads that my mother bought in Italy in 1.954 when she was 18. I brought them thinking in designing some new project with them, but when I have seen her handwritten note on the base of the box, I frozen; now I don’t know what to do!

Also some of these succulent plants that my sister has given me from her amazing garden, are sons of the collection of succulent plants that belonged to my mom and are still in lovely shape at my father’s balcony.

Today I was feeling a bit nostalgic; I miss my family at home.
But then, I’ve seen this pic and it cheered me up!
My husband|best friend and me 22 years ago when we got our Architectural degree.Since then we have been working together, sharing our professional life and also these last years that I’m working as a designer he is always supporting me and his opinion is really important for me.

I made paper globes for Mateo's friends. He gave them as "Farewell" present and also for them to know where he is going. We are going to miss them!
